Charged discs help you track the flight. Baskets get glow tape. Someone always forgets batteries; someone else usually has extras. Cards run a little slower. The woods feel closer when you can only see a short stretch of fairway.
Lexington: Shillito and Halloween glow
Shillyglow is back at Shillito Park — Thursdays for six weeks starting Nov 5, 2026. The flyer asks people to free up Thursday evenings; start time and cost weren’t listed in the post. Hosted with Angel Woods Tauson (Lexington KY Disc Golf Scene). Details may land on UDisc closer to kickoff. Facebook post.

Frankfort: Glo Thro and Friday lights
Glo Thro (also spelled Glo Throw) is Frankfort Disc Golf Association’s unsanctioned glow round at East Frankfort Park, listed for Oct 24. Start time isn’t posted yet — check frankfortdga.com and the FrankfortDG Facebook closer to the date.
There’s also a steadier option: Friday Night Glow Pitch & Putt at the Bomb Discs nine-holer by Rocky’s / Buena Vista, roughly 7–11 PM Fridays. UDisc lists it as lit for night play and free to throw, with a pay-to-play league option. Easy night: short holes, lights on, drinks next door if you want them.

What to bring
Glow discs or tape, a UV charger, spare batteries, a light you won’t shine into someone’s throw, and a little patience. Respect park hours, keep noise down, and pack out trash — night golf only stays welcome when neighbors aren’t complaining.
