The 18th Annual Kentucky State Disc Golf Championship went three rounds across Mahr Park and City Park — and Clint Calvin finished six clear of the MPO field at −35.

The 18th annual state A-tier landed in Hopkins County, and the MPO scorecard told a simple story: one player found a gear nobody else could match. Over three rounds — Mahr Park’s 10,000-foot Championship layout (par 69) on either end and the Madisonville City Park State Long setup (par 63) in the middle — Clint Calvin won MPO at −35.

Those numbers come straight from the PDGA event page, which lists the event report as received with official ratings still pending. Ben Shinn was tournament director, and 68 players came through Madisonville across 11 divisions.

Calvin’s three cards

Calvin opened with a 58 at Mahr Park (−11), posted a 49 at City Park (−14), and closed with a 59 back at Mahr (−10) for a 166 total. Aidan Scott matched him stroke for stroke over the last two rounds — 49 and 59 — but a 64 in round one left him second at −29. Paul Oman of Evansville took third at −26, and his 48 at City Park was the low round of the MPO weekend.

Oak Shain of Bremen was the top Kentucky finisher in MPO, fourth at −15. Jared Grant of Albany was fifth at −13, and hometown pro Phil McGuire of Madisonville tied for sixth at −12 with Lucas McPherron. Blake Sullivan of Benton finished eighth at −4.
